aansoo hoon to palakon se gira kyoon nahin dete,
saaya hoon to saath na rakhane ki vazah kya,
patthar hoon to raaste se hata kyoon nahin dete..

मोती हूँ तो दामन में पिरो लो मुझे अपने,
आँसू हूँ तो पलकों से गिरा क्यूँ नहीं देते,
साया हूँ तो साथ ना रखने कि वज़ह क्या,
पत्थर हूँ तो रास्ते से हटा क्यूँ नहीं देते..
