Ja mere geet lahme ne,
Na bhedi raat mukdi eh,
Na mere geet mukde ne.e sar kihne ku Doonge ne,
Kise ne hath na paayi,
Na barsaataan โch charde ne,
Te na auraan โch sukhde ne.Mere had hi avahle ne,
Jo ahg laaiyaan nahi sarde,
Ne sarde haukeyaan de naal,
Haavaan naal dhukde ne.Eh phat han ishk de yaaron
Ehna di ki dava hove,
Eh hath laaiyaan vi dukhde ne,
Malham laaiyaan vi dukhde ne.Je gori raat hae chann di,
Te kaali raat hae kis di?
Na lukde taareyaan vich chann,
Na taare chann โch lukde ne

Nor does wind set them alight

They find no cures never
If ye touch them they smart
If ye soothe with balms, they smart
This fair night is the moonโs
But who owns the dark night?
The Moon hides not amidst stars
Nor could stars hide within the Moon
