Jab maa daantkar khana khilati thi

Kabhi gussa hokar mein bhukhi hi so jati thi

Subah hote hi maa deti thi maa banakr khana

Usme bhi maa ka pyar pane ke liye mera nakhre dikhana

Jab kabhi udaas huyi toh maa ko gale lagaya

Yaad ati hai maa jb aaj khudko akela paya

Jab lagti thi chot mujhe aansu unki aankh mein hote the

Jab bimar huyi wo, hum chup chupkar rote the

Nahi hoga unhe kuch ye yakin dilaya

Lekin bhagwan ka likha koi badal na paya

“Mujhe bacha lo” ye aakhiri the shabd unke

Kaash mein de paati apni saansein unhe

Toh aaj chubhte nahi ye shabd unke

Wo kahti thi ‘beta strong ban’, me kahti thi strong hu mein

Par kaise batau mein strong tab thi jab hath mere sir pe the unke

Nahi rok pati aansu apne jab yaad aati hai unki

Unke bina kamjor hai beti ye unki
