ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ਤੂੰ ਡਰਿਆ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਹੈਗੀ ਆ
ਤਪਦੀ ਧੁੱਪ ਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਦੁਪਹਿਰੇ
ਜਲ ਗਈ ਚਮੜੀ ਤੇ ਸੁੱਖ ਗਏ ਚੇਹਰੇ
ਬੱਚੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਲਣ ਦੇ ਲਈ
ਲੱਗੀ ਰਹੀ ਓਹ ਵਿਚ ਹਨੇਰੇ
ਸੁੱਕ ਜਾਵੇ ਗਲ ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾ ਮੰਗੇ
ਲੋਕ ਵੇਖਦੇ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਚਾਰ ਚੁਫੇਰੇ
ਮੂੰਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋ ਉਫ਼ ਨਾ ਨਿਕਲੇ
