ਕਰ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀਲੇ ਪਾਰ ,
ਅਲਿਫ਼ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਦਿਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਰੋ-ਵਾਰ ।
ਮੈਂ ਕੱਪੜ ਬਨ ਕੇ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਪਾਰੋ-ਪਾਰ ,
ਫਿਰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ
ਮੈਂ ਤੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਐ ਯਾਰ ।

ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੈਂ ਰਾਹ ਦਾ ,
ਤੁਰਦਾ ਜਾਵਾਂ ਸਾਰ ।
ਨੱਕੋ-ਨੱਕ ਚੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਨੇ ,
ਏਥੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਦੇ ਖੁਮਾਰ ।
ਤੁਰਦੇ-ਤੁਰਦੇ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ,
ਮੈਂ ਤੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਆ ਯਾਰ ।

ਇੱਕ-ਇੱਕ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਗਾ ਲਏ ,
ਆਪਣੇ ਜਿੱਤੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੱਬ ਧਿਆ ਲਏ ।
ਧੋ ਕੇ ਦੇਹ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਫਿਰਦਾ ,
ਮੰਨ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਪੋਚਾ ਮਾਰ ।
ਤੁਰਦੇ-ਤੁਰਦੇ ਪਤਾ ਚੱਲਿਆ ,
ਮੈਂ ਤੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਐ ਯਾਰ ।
