Maa
Shabdaan vich kade byaan hundi ni sift maa di
thandi mithrri jannat jehi is gurri chhaa di
bacheyian de janam di peedha has ke jar jandi hai
vekh aayea bache nu paseena tadaf jandi hai
din raat sukhaan sukhdi te laadh ladaundi hai
shayed ese lai maa rabb da roop kahaundi hai
ਮਾਂ
ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਦੇ ਬਿਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਨੀਂ ਸਿਫਤ ਮਾਂ ਦੀ,
ਠੰਢੀ ਮਿੱਠੜੀ ਜੰਨਤ ਜਿਹੀ ਇਸ ਗੂੜ੍ਹੀ ਛਾਂ ਦੀ।
ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਦੀ ਪੀੜਾ ਹੱਸ ਕੇ ਜਰ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਵੇਖ ਆਇਆ ਬੱਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਸੀਨਾ ਤੜਫ਼ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਸੁੱਖਾਂ ਸੁਖਦੀ ਤੇ ਲਾਡ ਲਡਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਏਸੇ ਲਈ ਮਾਂ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਕਹਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
