कुछ हसीन रास्तों पर,
जब हाथ पकड़ कर हम निकले थे,
तुम करीब होकर भी गुज़र गए,
मानों तड़पकर दम निकले थे,
अब क्या जिंदगी से गुज़ारिश करूं,
यादों में उसकी मय थोड़ी बाक़ी है,
कोई जहां शायद ऐसा भी होगा,
जहां वो वक्त अब भी बाक़ी है...
चल कर देखेंगे वहां एक रोज़ हम भी,
वो वही जिंदगी है, या साक़ी है,
देख ले साक़ी ज़रा फिर से मयखाने में,
सब ख़त्म हो गई या शराब थोड़ी बाक़ी है...
